Education: Scholarships and fellowships
1980   -   Graduated in sculpture from M.S.University of Baroda, with distinction and two University academic awards
1981   -   Received the National Cultural Scholarship for sculpture, Ministry of Education and Culture – New Delhi
1982   -   Scholarship to study at Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux Arts, in Paris, under Prof ClaudeViseaux
1985   -   Awarded senior Fellowship, Kanoria Centre for Arts, also invited as visiting Faculty to teach Sculpture at the School of Architecture, C.E.P.T. Ahmedabad
1986-88   -   Selected for Junior Fellowship to outstanding artists, Ministry of Human Resources, Govt of India
1989   -   Awarded the inaugural Bendre-Hussain award, Bombay Arts Society, Bombay.
1990-91   -   Shifted to New Delhi , visiting faculty at National Institute of Fashion Technology for Accessory Design. Also was on their Jury for a few years.
2000   -   Shifted residence and presently working from to Shillong
